Fort Hill Construction began with humble roots. In the early 1970s, the founders learned the art of building while renovating their own homes in Boston, initially focusing on custom cabinetry before expanding into the highest quality workmanship across all trades. Their dedication to craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail quickly caught the attention of close friends, who encouraged them to establish their own company.

50 Years Of Craftmanship

Fort Hill Construction was born: a boutique construction firm built on a love of fine craftsmanship and a highly personal approach to building homes. Since 1974, the company has been based in Los Angeles, California cultivating strong relationships with the best subcontractors, architects and engineers with whom we collaborate to masterfully manifest the vision of our clients and their designers.

Fort Hill Construction’s story begins in the early 1970s, rooted in a family of craftsmen who first honed their skills renovating their own homes in Boston, Massachusetts. What started with custom cabinetry evolved naturally into a deep command of all construction trades, guided by an uncompromising respect for detail and materials.

Encouraged by close friends and early clients who admired both the workmanship and the integrity behind it, Fort Hill grew organically — never through advertising, always through trust. In 1974, the company established its headquarters in Los Angeles, where it has remained for over five decades. While anchored in Southern California, Fort Hill has been selectively commissioned to build distinguished residences in New York, Boston, and Mexico.

Today, the firm remains family-owned and operated, carrying forward the same values that defined its earliest work: craftsmanship without shortcuts, relationships without pretense, and homes built to endure.
